Ordinance 903

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 69 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF ELDORA 

BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Eldora, Iowa:  

Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance change is to amend Chapter 69 Parking Regulations Required of the Eldora Municipal Code by the following attachment: 

Chapter 69.08 

102. Tenth Street, on the east side, from 12th Avenue to Edgington (Highway 175). 

103. Tenth Street, east side, from Edgington to 14th Avenue. (Section 46 already covers the west side.) 

New Chapter 69.16 

Designation of Parking Spaces 

a. The City of Eldora shall allocate two adjacent parking spaces in the 1200 block of tenth street, north of the library parking lot entrance, exclusively for use by library employees during library operating hours.  

b. These spaces shall be clearly marked with appropriate signage indicating "Library Employee Parking Only." 

c. Fifteenth Avenue, on the north side, from Washington Street west one-half block to the alley, is designated as parking restricted to police, employee, and city vehicles only.  

d. Parking in the alley between 14th Avenue and 15th Avenue, between Washington Street and 14th Street, on the parking pad located south of Well 5, is restricted to City vehicles and City employee parking only.  

Chapter 69.08 

The following section can be rescinded: 

12. Tenth Street, on the east side, from Eleventh Avenue to Twelfth Avenue. 

Section 2. Effect. All other Sections of said Chapters shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect.  

Section 3. Severability. If any section, subsection, paragraph, subparagraph, sentence, clause or phrase of the Code is, for any reason, held to be invalid or enforceable as to any person or circumstances, the application of such section, subsection, paragraph, subparagraph, sentence, clause or phrase to persons or circumstances other than those as to which it shall be held invalid or unenforceable, shall not be affected thereby, and all other provisions of the Code, in all other respects, shall be and remain valid and enforceable. 

Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance and the Eldora City Code shall be in full force and shall take effect with the adoption and publication of this ordinance.
